ok, just started trying actually. my buddy went to europe for the summer and left me his '07 4.8i X5 and 6er to "take care" of

my lame attempt:

 

Looks nice....saturate the blue color a little bit in photoshop

 

you going to laugh... but i dont have photoshop. and even if i did, i wouldn't know how ot use it

"enhance" in iPhoto is as much as i can go

i actually went looking for that sand patch where you take your pics. couldn't find it. this one is taken behind this building:

Maybe pick a different background? It's picturesque as hell, but the car, the road, and the water are all similar in color and kind of blend together.

I use PS CS2. In a nutshell here's what I did:

1. Adjust the shadow/highlight
2. Bump the saturation in the sky and grass
3. Select the water only and play with color adjustments to give it a greener/bluer look
4. Polygonal lasso tool to select background areas to blur
5. Gaussian blur
6. Bump the contrast a tad
7. Slight unsharp mask
