My M Coupe... Interlagos splashed with Jet Black
Finally had a chance to take pix of the M Coupe. It's Interlagos Blue, with Jet Black roof, mirror-centers, grille, and wheels. Wheel has Interlagos Blue lip. Reflectors painted with Interlagos mixed with Clear so that turn signal lights show through. Forgot to take pix of the interior... carbon leather, nav, sirrus, premium, heated seats, and of course, the fattest steering wheel in all of Autodom.
The black grille and mirrors turned out better than I thought.. nice little accent pieces.
I've always liked mud-flaps on my sports cars... gives it a wider looking stance, especiallly from the rear. Personal preference, I guess.
The black roof integrates nicely with the back glass, especially from the rear high view. I may re-tint my back glass from the current existing ceramic film to limo black to really give it a one-piece look.
The wheels turned out so nice, that I wanted to mount them on the wall instead of putting them on the car. I was about to buy a set of aftermarket wheels to do the black/blue theme. But while my car was parked at my autbody shop, my employees surprised me with the wheel paint job. They blocked out the windows to the paintbooth and stayed late to do them. They did it right... shot the lip blue, masked, shot the wheel black, and then cleared... there is no cut-line between the lip and the rest of wheel.... all smooth clear-coat. It was a very nice gesture... guess they saved me from having to buy new wheels... for now... lol.
