well, you have to put your mods as part of the car. talk to your insurance guy, they will ask you give them receipts and picture, then include them as part of the car, your insurance rate will go up, but in case something happens to the car, your mods will be covered though. i think it's called custome insurance or something like that.

I'm glad your alright. How high does safety rank in Porsche manu. importance? This is the 3rd P-Car I've seen in the past couple of weeks were the car was damaged bad enough to be salvaged and the drive was pretty much o.k.

Thanks for all of your comments. I will post pictures once the matter gets adjusted. I have to play it close to the vest right now on the details and how this matter will be handled. The guy -- who ran the red and was ticketed -- contends he saw a yellow light and is therefore not at fault.

The second hurdle will be the insurance company's attempt to claim my car is not a total loss. The cop declared the car a total loss; and I saw the car at the junk yard, It is a nice shiny heap.

FYI -- Guys, the P-Car is meant to stand up to such collisions. I have no doubt that if I were driving something else, I will still be in the hospital, or even worse.

You know I have had to deal with insurance companies enough that if they don't pay for my car in a big hurry (all of it) I just hire an attorney and let him kick them around for me. The attorneys I have had in the past will settle the property claim as a "freebie" if you let them pursue the medical for you.

The insurance companies are such completely unreasonable ****** that it is just insult after injury and not worth my breath.

The insurance company finally declared it a total loss; now the bidding war starts.

This should be fun
