I just tried this and the pcm said "not an audio cd"

Is there a trick to it or am I misinformed? I burned a data cd with mp3s on it, or is there something else to do?

I believe any of the PCM equipped units will play MP3's.

I have a non-PCM, non-Bose unit and it won't recognize MP3 files.

Not sure about what a Bose non-PCM unit would do.

That's very strange squid.

Do you have the MP3 files in folders? Maybe you can burn a test CD with all the files on the root directory.

If that doesn't do it, I wonder if a PCM software is needed...
