I'm pretty sure it's the same size as the STI/EVO brakes. And i don't think the Cayman brakes are that much bigger, if it even is any bigger. It's not about the Brembo sign (because it's not a sticker) it's about the product. Brembo wouldn’t put their logo on a brake system that is not backed up with their name...now it might not stop as good as the 6 piston BBK they offer, but none the less, it works.

When you say 'BMW brakes' are you referring to particular models? There's plenty of factory equipped cars that have zero trouble under track conditions as long as they're equipped with some proper pads and fluid.

Just because they're not pretty monoblock calipers dressed in red paint doesn't mean they're inferior.

I'm talking about the M3/M5 brakes since they are the only ones i have driven. You can improve many brake kits by getting proper pads and fluid. IMO, if you're paying 80+k for an M car, you danm well better get a monoblock caliper dressed in pretty paint.

My Porsche's brakes are awesome, but my Z's brakes aren't bad either.
The only thing I felt was that there is a better balance in the braking system on my Porsche compared to my Z.
The Z's Brembo brakes are enough for many.

So these complaints you've got about the M5 and M3's brakes are sheerly aesthetic? Or have you noticed brake fade while threshold braking around town? Just curious.
