Newbie says hello...

Greetings fellas
I just bought (1 month ago) a Boxster S 2006, w/ chrono, PASM, 19" carrera, Slate gray, red seat belts. Really nice ride, replacing a MB C55. It is quite amazing the crves that this car can make...

As my first topic, I am adding here an ebay shortcut for a PCM head unit, from the same guy I just got mine (and the DVD nav). I though it was a great price and he has great feedback, let hope it all works fine next week, when it get here.
ebay shortcut

Well, good to be here, let keep chatting...
Best,

All I have to do now is find an antenna and the FO cable, and after some elbow grease I'll have OEM nav.
I was going for a Pioneer Z1 or D3, but here in Durhole, NC one cannot find a decent shop to create a 2 din adapter that would look decent, not ricer...
I'll add some pics of the car/nav system soon.

Cheers!

Durhole? Is that a funny way for saying Durham? Or is there really a Durhole, NC? Just curious

Welcome to the board, and grats on the supercheap PCM.

You got it right at first. But not so much fun about or in Durham (hole), NC...
It was a shot of luck, but the seller told me that he does sells extra material from his shop from time to time, so keep an eye on it...

Well, it is not simple to disassemble the dashboard and trunk, but at least there will be no wiring cutting and potentially no programing, considering that the duo came from a 911, already programmed to have nav. Perhaps if I'm lucky, the Chrono package plus might work as well, although that might require extra connections.

I'll try to take pictures on the go, post them later...
