Certificate of Authenticity
I have a doubt, on my previous Porsche I got my COA on the mail in less than three weeks. On my 2008 I have not recieved anything. I called Porsche of North America and they told me this is something the dealer takes care of... I called the dealer and they told me this is a service that has a $98.00 cost.
What is the truth on this matter?

It's one of those things... like a full tank of gas and a detailing that should be standard customer service. A lot of sales managers are gready and they dont' understand how much they hurt business.
They way Coastal Motorsports in Corpus Christi handled was supreme, they just sent it to me. I will consider them again for my next Porsche... The San Antonio dealer... what can I say, good luck with your new customers as I don't think you'll get repat business...

What does this cert look like? I don't think I got one with my car. I just picked it up on Monday.

I bought a new Boxster S from Brumos in Jacksonville FL on 2/29 - the COA arrived this past Sat., 3/29...I never asked for it (or was charged for it) so they must do it automatically for their customers.
Nice to have and it will be something else to pass along to the next owner, whenever that is.

I'm with Bob Z. I purchased a new Cayman S last fall from Brumos and recieved the certificate in the mail a month or so later. We never discussed it during the purchase so it most be something they do automatically.
