Pics from HOD Thunderhills DDP.
Hi guys and girls. Me and my wife had a BLAST at Thunderhills yesterday for the DDP from Hook on Driving! It was the first day of this type of event for them and it went very well!
Others should check it out, it was a great way to learn what the car could ( and could not ) do in a controlled environment... Got the cayman ( and the cayenne ) sideways, found that slamming on the breaks in the cayman could put you through the window, and that the cayenne has to much HP and is very scary to drive on the track!
Cayman Club was represent'in with 4 of us at the event.. So I know others here have pics and video, so Please post um...
( and in the pics below, I did not hit that cone! AX'ers look out! )

It was good seeing you yesterday.
Here is a chasecam video of me doing a hot lap yesterday...hot for me anyway...right around 2:15. As you can see, my brother lets me pass to follow me around the track. Since I haven't posted much here, let me say that I know I am not using the whole track. I like leaving a bit of wiggle room at the expense of a few seconds in favor of not wrecking my car.

I LOVED the "triangle" exercise. Drift King action. It was great to flip off the PSM and really see what happens when you break loose at 60 mph in a turn.
Here is my brother with me in the passenger seat. We pass Blueblast and once we get a clear track, my brother runs a 2:09 with my stout frame weighing him down.

Did I mention that I love driving this car?
My lap time around Thunderhill improved by two seconds versus last Friday thanks to the DDP.

Nice video... how do you have the telematics set up?
Nevermind Traqmate right?

Yep. Traqmate. My brother and I both have the same set-up. The PDR-100 with a bullet camera (chasecam) hooks up to the logger and you export the Traqmate file to TrackVision. The video quality from the bullet cam isn't the best...and we both have sand interiors which throw off a bit of glare. I am still experimenting. Probably the best setup will be to use the bullet outside the car at ground level, and an HD camcorder for the main inside view. The suction mount can easily hold the tiny bullet cam securely.
That is the Speed Art wing, ask Alex @ Shark Werks, he knows where to get it from :-)
I think it is the perfect wing for this car, not to big, not to small and still goes up and down at 75.. can get it in ABX and paint it , or get the Carbon Fiber version.
