deputydog - they use the UNICHIP Piggyback ECU like many aftermarket supercharger and turbo kits do. IE: Greddy, Procharger, Vortech, etc. As far as the additional fueling with the 7th injector, not sure on this kit as it is all new to me. I had the TPC on my 996C2 and it was awesome!

why aren't they re programming the ECU at this point like Softronic, Evo, or Proto, and so many others? seems kind of old fashioned, no?

There is not only a 7th injector, but an 8th injector too. The piggy-back unit only kicks in when the turbo starts spooling up. It saves the effort to modify the ECU.
TPC quotes a 3-day install.

deputy - I would not say old fashion, I will agree with you though. Having used their supercharger kit, there are no hiccups and nothing wrong with this. Having also used many other manufactures supercharger and turbo kits that use Piggyback systems, these work fine. At a certain power level, a stock ECU flash or piggyback does not work well and that is when you go to a stand alone. You see many Subaru STI's, EVO's, Supra's, and other high HP cars running the AEM standalone for this reason. However at the performance level and functionality, the Unichip works great.
Estimated time I would guess at 20hours.

It would be one thing if the kit was $5K. However, if you're spending 10-15 thousand dollars to modify your late model porsche, I would be expecting nothing less than the best and that would include parts that look at least somewhat OEM, an actual ECU tune, and upgraded injectors. Piggy backs and extra injectors are band aids.
I know their kits work. I've seen the supercharger first hand, and ridden in a TPC SC'd porsche. However when it came down to comparing the kits piece by piece, EVO got my money.
That being said, they are the only one with this kit right now so if you want more power in your Cayman I guess you don't have anyone else you can call.
Anything that Mike Levitas has worked on and endorsed is good enough for me IMHO. He really knows his turbos so I have no doubt this is a GREAT system. How many products are actually developed by pro drivers anymore anyway(and in particular ones with engineering degrees)?
