Question Special Ordering Cayman S

I believe you cant order the current year Cayman S however, when you special order one, can you negotiate the prices below MSRP?

You can probably only get 7-10K off MSRP when you purchase cars off the lot. Am I right?

you can get 6-8K and sometimes more off a highly optioned one (i.e. 70+K msrp).

youre on m3forum right?...i recognize the user name.

youve made a great choice...the cayman S is a very special and amazingly capable car.

I just bought an M5 and will keep it. I'll be saving up for the C2 in the mean time.

Yeah, I'm the "Gadgetman" on the M3 forum and M5 board.

I may be and I'm thinking about selling my M5 due to high gas prices. I want a smaller sports car.

thats makes sense. obv the cayman wont match the m5 for straight line speed or comfort, but makes up for it in feel and handling and pure approach among other things.
i dont know if youve familiar with it yet, but check out caymanclub.net, very much a wealth of knowledge over there.

I'm already registered on CaymanClub forum as well. I see 5 series everywhere and would like a more exclusivity of a car such as a Cayman. Sure the M5 is an exclusive car and practical with carrying passengers comfortably. What I dont like about BMW in the 5 series is the idrive. It's a PITA to control you radio i.e. adjusting your bass/treble, NAV, and ventilation control.
