Boxster Wheel Refurb

Hi Guys,

My 997TT wheels had started to corrode, so I have had them refinished in Gunmetal. The company that did them neglected to match the centre caps, so I have done this myself, taking inspiration from a Lotus I saw at the weekend. I also carried out a small paint correction detail to remove swirls and scratches. Hope you all like!

Sorry, but I think you "gilded the lily" on this one.

The wheels look great but the center caps stick out like a sore thumb.

The wheels look great, but the center caps should not overpower the wheels, IMO.

Having just come out of a Lotus I like the look, but understand the comments that the offset in color to the black wheels is a big contrast.

I'm no good at photoshop but wonder how it would look with yellow rotors - with the yellow UK plate it might give off the right highlight combination to balance the center caps and the beautiful black wheels. Everyone would think you have carbon brakes

There's a big difference between a Lotus and a Boxster because the Lotus is like "LOOK AT ME, HEY YOU LOOK AT ME!!!" styling go it can get away with yellow center caps. Plus, the yellow portion is much smaller, and it's part of the Lotus logo! But hey if you're happy then that's all it matters.

I would go with a body color center cap if you want it to have an offset in color.

I think it's unique and original. And it does match the license plate, as stated. Keep it. The rims look great too...I like the whole package.

Paint those brake rotor top hats. Easy and very effective. The flat rusty grey takes away more from the wheels than the centercaps do. Centercaps can be changed at a whim, makes no diff. I'd paint the calipers too.
