How to get rid of Warning Light on Dash ??

Today I had a " check left brake light bulb" come up on the dash which changes to a red exclamation mark with stalk movement.
Sure enough, the bulb was blown and I replaced it & brake light is now working but, I can't get rid of the warning on the dash ... anyone know how to cancel ?
Appreciate your help.

did you put the exact type of bulb in ? maybe the ecm needs more time to reset. you can try a batt disconect but that may trigger a light by itself

Sounds like you guys already figured it out - the bulb at the dealer was 20 dollars for a single one (at least the local dealer around here).

One thing to possible do, which i did, was to order it online - making sure it's the same wattage/etc.

It's a 21/4 or 7225 bulb.

I think this is the exact one I ordered (even though it lists VW) - works fine obviously since same bulb/spec/etc.

The light came off right away for me.

Shipping was 7 bucks though - so good to bundle w/ other stuff if anything is needed. Though it was still half of what Porsche wanted for it after shipping/etc...

Thanks,
Ben

Yeah, I was shocked when I got to the parts department and was quoted for the bulb.

I went to go get some coolant, and was going to pick up the bulb since was searching long and hard for them at the auto-part stores - and it was over 20 dollars for the single one.

Needless to say, I walked out w/ only the coolant and ordered the bulb online...

Have a great night,

Ben
