Cayman S in my driveway

Hello everyone,
After 3 years of driving my Ariel Atom, I had my fill of the crazy attention it would draw from others on the roadways and intersections. After hearing many others tell me I should just sell it and get a Porsche if I don't like all the attention. So I did. Last Thursday I took delivery of a 2010 Cayman S, white paint, beige interior, and the new 19" 911 Turbo style wheels. It looks great. But.............after I drove it 10 miles home, my neighbor who pulled into her garage just moments after me, took something out of the back of her SUV, then proceeded to close the garage door down on the hatch she forget to close as she had started making some comment about the Cayman. So much for lower profile ride.
Then on Saturday, I went on my first drive and I got my first ticket. 65 in a 60.
I have a nice smooth and powerful sedan, but this Cayman has all the right feels & sounds of a driving machine. I am looking forward to getting past these 2000 break-in miles.

Congrats! The Cayman is a GREAT car. You can pretty easily get it close to the 911 power range, yet it's still such a comfortable and easy car to drive at it's full potential.

Can't say enough good things about it....enjoy!!

Congrats on the new Cayman.

Most people come from/ go to a Lotus. I imagine an atom is a step or two beyond that.

It would be interesting to hear your impressions of the Porsche in comparison.

I followed them on a new 2005 Boxster and a new 2007 Cayman S. My Boxster used one bar of oil the first 800 miles then none for the next 16K miles. My CS has used zero oil in 7K miles.

Some feel that as long as you allow it to reach full operating temp for a few minutes that occasional runs up to red zone won't hurt. Maybe, maybe not, why chance it?
