Bought a Spyder yesterday

Thanks for the input every one gave, especially on the seat choice.
I chose the bucket seats after a side by side driving comparison with the sport seats. Either would work for me at 5'7" and 145 lbs. However, I'd choose the sport seats if it was a daily driver because of easy of in and out and the recline feature. They have noticeably better side bolstering than the comfort seats in my 911. I'm cut about one inch too short for the bucket seats. A cheap invisible modification fixes the problem. Under the stock foam seat cushion, put two 1/2 inch pieces of carpet pad on top of each other cut to conform to the bottom of the seat bucket. You can't see this and it raises you up enough that the back of the seat conforms to your body properly.

Options: White, black Spyder wheels, black interior, sport bucket seats, manual, BiXenon, dimming mirrors, AC, radio, cupholders.

I pick it up Friday and can't wait. Hope the weather cooperates.

Congrats! I saw one on the road for the first time the other day and thought it was really a cool car.

congrats..ordering mine this weekend. I am getting the regular sports seats. I had the sport buckets in my 08 turbo, and at 6'3" i had a helluva time getting out of the car. Comfort was no problem, even on long trips with the SB seats, but getting out was bad.
Im ordering white with cocoa. sends some pix when you can

Mikegee. You chose wisely on the sport seats considering your situation.
If the car I bought had had these, I would have been very happy with them too. I love the cocoa interior you are ordering, but didn't want to wait for the car. Mine was in stock.

PRS*7: Yes I got a small discount, but I bought the one they had in stock. Got a free clear bra too.

2muchtime: I'm putting the Porsche Sports Exhaust on. The same one as if you ordered the car with it. I've heard it before and like it.

Thanks.
I think market size/demand/past purschase(s) play a role in getting a break. They arrive in stock, non ordered, here and are gone a few days later.

I took the top down, put it back up and then back down at the dealership to make sure I could do it. It was reasonably easy and just took a few minutes. Then I drove from Omaha to Des Moines on back highways instead of the interstate (about 160 miles) with the top down.

I just can't believe how much fun it was. I don't have much experience riding in convertibles, but wind noise even at 75-80mph seemed very acceptable where you could still talk with out much problem.

The balance of this car and suspension is right on the money.
I have never been more impressed with a new car and have had many.
Given it's intended purpose, I think Porsche nailed this one.
