My 05 987 S
My 05 987 S
I've been lurking for awhile, and finally found a replacement for my S2000 about 6 weeks ago.
05 Boxster S, less than 14k miles when I picked it up. PASM, adaptive sport seats, Chrono, short shift, 19's. Loving the car.

Congrats! Speed Yellow is a great color on the Boxster, in the sea of silver and black.
I see you have the clear side marker already. And you have the perfect weather & roads for such a car. Enjoy!

I was dreading having to replace the S2k. It's an amazing car for the money, and when driven properly it's able to humble some much more expensive machinery. The chassis is amazing, certainly stiffer than a 986, and maybe just a tad more solid than a 987.
That being said, I love the 987 more in almost everyway. Even more usable cargo space, slightly more room in the ****pit, more refined suspension tuning, more power, and oh yeah, this thing called torque!
That being said, the shifter in the S2K is still the best one on the planet. And I loved having the HVAC and stereo controls at my fingertips without the need to take my hands (or eyes) off the road. The stereo in the boxster, while offering descent sound quality, is nothing but a maze of tiny buttons that all look alike. Very German, and very annoying.
And yes, I used to post on S2Ki.com, but pretty seldom the last few years.
