Frankly, not sure what the requirements for CA are. If there is enough interest we would certainly consider it.

As far as PDK I need to get one in here to test fit the tubing, it might need a tweak but no sure.

Any volunteers in NO VA or MD would be great help. Just ran into a spyder 2011 but its a stick.

We hope you all like the quality of the components as well as the workmanship. It has been a lot of work to get to this as we want to offer a set up that is going to be second to none and still be reasonable to be purchased.

Cheers

Good hearing from you. Not trying to kill you bud! I decided to do one the way that I like it done. Come on by when you have a chance.

Cheers

What do you mean by "volunteers"? Might be interested.

How close are you to finalizing your first offering?

We are looking for a pdk car to fit the parts and brackets to ck fitment of it all. Every car that has been to shop has been a stick or tip. No PDK yet.

Car has a delivery date of august 4th. Next week or so we should have this done.

Cheers

The carbon pieces look real nice but how well are they going to hold up to the exhaust temps? I saw melted carbon on the Ferrari P4/5 that was too close just to the tailpipes.

Carbon

Thanks. It does look nice. Labor of love to make that plug to look perfect so the mold would be flawless.
As far as durability goes I do not see any eminent problems as the tubing is not exposed to that kind of heat. If it presented a problem we could use a layer of nomex in the lay up. But again not expecting any problems.

Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about the other kit on the market??

Limitup

I do not think that picking at the other guys stuff in an open forum is the right thing to do. If you want to discuss further of the record you can contact me privately.
Thanks for understanding.

Cheers

Cool Finally a road test!

Well after a 7 month wait since we announced that we were going to build a twin turbo kit for Cayman's I am excited to say that the first road test has been completed. I was here til 11 pm rapping things up as I was determined to drive the car home. Just doing the last few things seem to take the longest. It was quite a bit of work as you can all imagine particularly the carbon fiber tubing, plug and mold work. It was worth it in the end because it fits nicely and looks awesome.

My first impressions after driving a few miles, and I have a 40 mile commute, were what I expected from the past experience with the 996's, 996 GT3 and 997 GT3 that we have done. The engine starts and runs very nicely like a stock car would. It takes throttle input smoothly and precisely and the response, well, that was the best part. It was incredible. It delivers all the boost by 3300 which I need to adjust the vanes on the turbine which will allow for it to come in at just under 3000.

That is one of the things I like about these turbos that we have chosen for our system, the adjustments that you can do to control response and back pressure. Also the lack of having to scavenge oil back to the engine or supply from the engine is great. No oil consumption from turbo, no oil in intercooler and intake to lower the octane rating of the fuel you are using
which inevitably will allow the engine to go into knock control which is going to come back in the form of less power. I think it was the right thing to do.

The choosing of the intercooler core and radiator was key for us as well. The design of the front carbon fiber air duct for the radiator allows the inlet temp to be pretty constant and that will translate into less or no knock control as well, from high inlet temps. Need to keep it as cool as ambient temps will allow. The water pump is not what everyone has seen in the form of a Bosch pump that flows 4-5 g/min without head pressure, we went up a few steps and got one that flows 22-23 g/min with out head pressure. A significant difference in output flow.

The exhaust sounds very nice when idling, not obnoxious. Then there is that nice sweet rush of power sound coming out of it. All you want to do is be on the throttle. Then there is the turbocharger whistle when making boost. Nice!!

I will post an in car video driving the car later today if time permits. The dyno is next week. The basic tune feels good and it has the correct lambda numbers but it always needs a tweak or 2. Will post those next as soon as they are available.

Need to get to work now, have a nice day!

Cheers
