New member Introduction.....
Hi guys and gals,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been enjoying this board for the past week only I was having problems logging into my account so could not post. I bought a 2000 Boxster S 3 weeks ago and I love it! It's Arctic silver metalic and metropol blue interior and top. 16,000 miles and pre-owned certified with extended warranty. It has 18" turbo wheels, wood/alum brake and shifter, 6 speed, xenon's, sport package, full leather, heated seats etc... The only option I think it's missing is nav. Anyways, I'm a 26 year old business owner from NYC and I am glad to see many East Coast guys here. Looking forward to reading and contributing to this great forum in the future.
Keep up the great posts!
Regards,
Gil

Hi Gil,
Excellent car .... BUT
1) The rule is you gotta post some pics!
2) why is the East Coast better than the west or FL again?
... out here you will enjoy your convertible a lot longer.
3) "The only option I think it's missing is nav" - uh oh ... spend any time around here and get ready to spend some serious dough on mods
Enjoy the car!
PS - this is Chris

Thank for the warm welcome guys!
And thanks to ShankGT2 I can finally post responses.
I will get some pics up ASAP.
Chris, I wish I had CA or FL weather all year, but unfortunately, after 18 years in NYC I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon. I have a few friends locally with Porsche's but it's nice to see such a large and knowledgeable community here.
As far as options, my hobbies are getting too expensive lol. I love watches and buying them gets addictive, I can only imagine spending more on car toys.

Gil

Stryke, nice personalized plate
BTW, you really should get those bumper plugs and pull off the front plate ... forget the law, it is the same way out here in CA, and you almost never get pulled for it ... I've been driving without front plates on various cars for well over 10 years without ever getting a ticket for it (even when they pull you over for speeding).
and you say you collect watches?? have a SS Daytona & TT sub by any chance

OK, now you got me thinking who I know in CA with a Porsche!
BTW, believe me, I know in CA you need a plate but they don't really care. In NY you'll get a $105 ticket in a second if you park without one. I got a $55 ticket for having a clear plastic cover on the back. The good thing is I used to be a NYC cop so when I'm in the car, I typically don't get tickets, but when I park...
Damn, who are you, you know my watches and I can't place you!
...I give up!

I GOT IT! It's Chris, isn't it? I just read your sig and I saw the Polar Silver TT and it clicked. Good to see you here!
