my 1 month old 2005 Cayster S

So I said I would post some pics of my speed yellow Cayster (Boxster with Cayman front end) but wanted to wait until I got my new wheels on.

Well I finally got them on last night but what do you know, it's pouring down rain in the bay area, california. I had to take some pics anyways. with all the clouds and my crappy cell phone, the colors are all washed out but you get the idea.

think it needs to be lowered?

Very nice. It needs to be lowered a little and you also need to condition to top as water no long beads on the top in the picture.
The nice thing about the Cayman front bumper is that you have more options for front splitters (from mild to wild). That's one thing I've always wish for the Boxster bumper is a more aggressive front end. I recently installed the RS60 splitters and they look... better than stock (soft and rounded).

wheels are HRE P43.

How much drop for lowering? Lithium, I like how your car sits, what springs did you use or are you on coilovers?

what is a good top conditioner to use and where to buy?

I am using Eibach lowering springs with stock shocks. I added factory rubber spacers to bump the front and rear height by 6mm and 9mm, respectively. The front gap is 1 finger and rear is 2. I have a fair steep transition onto my drive way, so this height is just right. This setup works great at DE/tracks as well. Coilovers, IMO, are overkill for street use.

You have couple options for rag top care... Raggtopp or 303 fabric/canvas protectant. Either one will work well. I apply the stuff every 6 mo.

G'luck.

Funny thing is I didn't even realize this boxster had a cayman front end on it at first. Just thought it looked a bit more aggressive for some reason. My car is soon to have the cayman wing installed too! Car will have a bit of identity crisis
