According to an Autobild and Autozeitung article today a new Porsche entry model is coming soon.
itīs a new Midengine Roadster (4m long and 1,24m tall).
So itīs smaller and cheaper than the Boxster and will be called the 551
(a spiritual successor to the legendary 550 spyder).
what do u think?

acc. to Autozeitung it will be kind of an architecture mix, the first half is based on the next gen. boxster, the 2nd half of the car is based on the VW blue sport concept but it is being rebuilt for typical Porsche caracteristics.

How about a modified version of the turbocharged 5 from the Audi RS3 and TT RS in about a 2700 pound RWD package? As if that would be an entry level model for anyone.

That doesn't look nearly as good as the first pic. For $7k more I would go for a real Boxster.

don`t take the renderings too seriously, there a dozens around on the internet and the release is at least 2 years away.
it may be still on the drawing board. the technical facts are more important, cause they can be relatively trusted.
