Number one is too expensive for that many miles and those options. Number two is more reasonable. I would look for a 2006 CPO with fewer miles in this price range. I think you could get one for the upper $30's with half the miles.

By the way.....your on-line name suggests that you are either still in college or something similar. I would think twice about taking this on unless funds are unlimited. Wait until you can really pay cash and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

A word from one who has been there and done that.

Go for the second one with the Bose ,sport Chrono and the
Bixenon Headlamp package these 3 options are a must and cost quite a bit .
36K is a chunk of change IMO and school ? a degree does not mean you will get a good job with this president so i agree with ScooterP .

How much are Porsche dealerships able/willing to negotiate? I currently own a sedan and feel the need to get a "sports" car before I start settling down. I figure if I don't get it now, my next opportunity would be decades later.

I have graduated already and am currently working full time and enrolled in classes right now, prepping for graduate school hopefully.

I dont think this one is a bad deal at all if it a clean car then this is what you should pay or close to it ,remember ,this car was probally close to 70 K new ..try and get it for 35 and call it a day IMO.. it is a 6 speed right ? and what color?

FYI, just sold my 2006 CPO Cayman S with only 29k miles for 32k that sold pretty quickly. I probably could have priced it another 1k higher and it would have still sold. Didn't have quite as many options as the car listed above, but was in fantastic condition overall. Just wanted to provide you that as a comparison point.

Search on cars.com will give you a pretty good idea of what the asking prices are. Go on ebay and look for sold cars to see what the market will bare.

Most dealers will negotiate a little, but don't get your hopes up. Even in today's economy, dealers know people who come to buy these cars have disposable income, and there is always a buyer for these relatively low volume cars.

My advice, if you have the means and find the car you want, buy it. There have been many posts of people thinking too much and car they really want is sold to someone else. G luck!
