Please help me...

Hi everyone,
I have a 2010 model 2.9 Cayman PDK and i am willing to upgrade the exhaust system of the car. I am currently interested in Capristo and Fabspeed, but someone told me the Remus and Borla is also a good option. I am very confused now, i want both the sounds and power gain, can anyone give me some suggestions that which one should i get? And also the reason of it? Please..
Much appreciated..

Unless you change the CATS I doubt you will get any power increase from changing the Mufflers. Changing the CATS may also involve changing the headers on this car. Pricey.

Can't remember seeing anybody trying to get more power out of the 2.9 the focus in the aftermarket is on the S (3.4). But I am not regular on this thread.

All cat-backs on the market will remove the secondary cats - where most of the gains will be seen.

The REMUS is one of the most popular system on the "other" forum. We have it in stock right now.

The Capristo is much more expensive, but it's also much higher quality as well. You have the added bonus of the valve system which gives your Cayman a 2 sided personality with the push of a button.

On the 2.9, we have seen gains of 10whp with these cat-backs. We gain closer to 20whp on the S models.

wookie - wondering how the gear ratios are in your 2.9 mated to the PDK. i have always read that the 2.9 was a nice engine, but it has to be run at the upper rpm range to really make the best. so, my thought was that PDK on sport chrono plus which really loves keeping the rev's high would ne a match made in heaven?

Here's a full review of the REMUS being mounted on a non-S cayman along with dyno information!

Hi Wookie, make sure to check out the Fabspeed Exhaust. Its a full bolt on kit with everything included for a simple installation and it fits like OEM. It automatically remove the unnecessary 2ndary catalytic converters for improved HP and uses our Maxflo Mufflers with Deluxe tips for a sporty sound. It isn't too aggressive so you can drive it daily and still enjoy the sound. If you are looking for something more aggressive, we also have our Race exhaust which will produce a little more power and a much more aggressive sound. Let me know if you have any questions and PM me if your interested and I will give you a nice member deal on it.
Thanks,

Get some Fabspeed Catless headers if you really want to unleash your cars potential ..thats what I did ..catback with catless headers ..Both the Remus and fabspeed are good choices ..you cannot go wrong with either one IMO .. Maximum sound and power is the Fabspeed Racing Exhaust combined with their headers and will deffinately make you smile just as lots of us have ,you could get both of these for less then the price of the Capristo ..with the left over money
Flash it and get a Gt3 Plenum with the Evoms high flow filter and you can keep up with the 3.4 no problem ..Even beat them as I have in my 2.7
I have suspension upgrades as well so that helps also .. and I am a pretty fearless racer to boot but the 2.9 should be even faster then mine
