EPL Headers installed
So, the road less traveled (part 2 of 2)...
I wanted upgraded aesthetics, more power, and a more aggressive sound, without causing drone or inconvenience toward my daily driver. In part 1:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ggression.html
I addressed the aesthetics with Fabspeed's true dual setup. This time around, it was time for power! I chose to add cat-less headers mated to the stock exhaust as I felt I would achieve everything I was looking for while avoiding the drawbacks.
I'm a big fan of Tony and EPL back from my b5 s4 days, so I've had my eyes on EPL's Catless Headers for quite some time. They seem well-engineered and to have taken a different approach than others.
(not my photo)

Again I turned to Ryan Calvert at RSR Autosport. He had the o2 bungs relocated so I do not get a CEL.
I've had them on the car for a few weeks now and couldn't be happier. The car sounds as if its gone through puberty and now has character and a bit of attitude. There is zero droning whatsoever and the car burble/crackles on decel while announcing its presence at full throttle.
I knew I would be banned for not providing video, luckily my girlfriend surprised me with a nice gift:

I'm still learning the GoPro and have no clue how to edit; this is my first attempt (can't get an embed code to work):

No dyno results for me. Would have been neat to have them, but not really super important as its made me happy on all levels.
Here is info from EPL:

Quote from Tony:
I believe all dyno results above (including 'stock') were done with the intention of showing the delta with the headers, so all 3 lines are with a Borla exhaust. I doubt I'll see similar gains.
Here is info from EPL:

Quote from Tony:
Just a little background on our testing methods: We tested three different headers on our in-house Mustang Dyno with our shop Cayman S all on the same day; The stock header, an unnamed aftermarket header, and our new Race Header. The ECU was cleared of all adaptation and sat to let idle running with no fans on for 10 minutes. Fans were then plugged in and the car was rolled for 3 minutes. Five dyno runs were done with each header installed, the last two pulls of each header test were consistent with each other and within 1hp. The last dyno plot was selected from each set and used in the above graph.

Bump from the past...
I was forced to sell my car (long sad story
) so my headers are for sale to try to recoup my money lost. They were easily the best thing I did to the car.
Cost $2099 new and not sure if you are able to get them anymore. I had many inquiries when I got them; they are now listed in the Marketplace for sale.
