Has anyone put slicks on a Cayman?
There is also a Cayman GT car running around with 280/680/18 and 250/650/18 Yokohama slicks on the west coast tracks. Wider wheels needed for those fronts however. Could use the 240/640/18 or they even have a 230 for the narrow stock front wheels.
I have experience running the yokes mentioned by 523 Eric on my Cayman S race car, which has 18 by 9 and 18 by 10 staggered wheels.
I have had the engine extensively modified for oiling, etc. I don't know of anyone who has run them without engine mods, but I don't have a dry sump. My motor was built by Vision Motorsports in California. Plenty of guys with 09-12 running the Pirelli Slicks and stock motor. Plenty of guys running R6 with typical oiling mods.
