New Cayman S owner here

Hey guys and gals, kids all grown, married and out of the house, so I finally picked up my first Porsche. It's a 2008 Cayman S, 1 previous owner, with just 13,027 miles on the odometer. I've dreamed of owning any Porsche since 1982, when I drove a 1973 914 2.0L H4 on the autobahn while stationed overseas as a young GI. Funny, but this Cayman has a similar driving feel to the 914 I drove over 30 years ago. I'm smitten with it. Whoever had her, took really great care of her, thank you. (Arctic Silver Metallic, Black Leather, 6 Speed Manual, Heated Seats/Mirrors, Bi-Xenon lights, Colored wheel crests, Self-dimming mirrors, Rain Sensing Wipers, Bose System, PCM 2.1 w/Ext. Nav., Auto Climate, 19" Carrera Classic Wheels)

Thanks. I've been waiting for the weather to clear up here in Maryland. It's been snowy, sleety and now rainy here...bummer. As soon as it clears up, I plan to get her all washed and waxed for a few photos...I'll be sure to post. I do have some pics from the dealer’s website where I bought it. I guess I can post those. Getting out on the track is one of my future plans. Can't wait to see what exploring the cars' potential feels like. For now, I've just enjoyed driving it anywhere. Honestly, I do find myself making excuses to drive to the store more often, hehe

That's pretty !! It looks like you found a pristine one The weather has been crazy around here also, one minute thunderstorms and then the next a snowstorm. Spring can't come soon enough. Were you looking for a while ? I would love to get one sometime soon.

I looked for over a year. My must haves were S Trim, Silver w/Black Leather, Standard Suspension, 6MT, and less than 15k miles for under 40K. Everything else is just icing on this wonderful cake.

Yeah, I was glad to see that whoever ordered this car had the foresight to get it with these wonderful wheels in 19", they fill the wheel well nicely. They had just one minor 2 inch scrape on the passenger rear, which I had taken care of by Alloy Wheel Repair Maryland. The young man that came out didn't even have to remove the tire from the rim. He blended the repair in perfectly. Only charged me $125. Now they all look brand new.

Beautiful car! I just picked up an 08 Cayman S myself. See your local to the DC Metro area. Look forward to meeting you or seeing you around!

Danke, I'm taking the wife and her to the Auto Show in downtown Baltimore today, now that it stopped raining. Hope all of you in the New England area are ok. I understand you were in for some nasty blizzard like weather.
