Opinions on short shifters?
Opinions on short shifters?
Hey just bought a 2003 Porsche Boxster and looking to get a short shifter for it. Been looking at a couple of models like the...
Agency Power short shifter
http://www.andysautosport.com/porsch.../agency_power/
Racing Dynamics short shifter
http://www.andysautosport.com/porsch...cing_dynamics/
and finally the
b&m precision sport short shifter
http://bmracing.com/?wpsc_product_category=porsche
Does anyone have any advice on these models, or know of anything that may be more of a quality product.
Thanks!

I had the factory short shifter in my 997s and loved it. Granted, stone cold, the shift into 1st was sometimes a bit notchy but overall, it was a greatly improved driving experience.
I put the AP in the 08 CS that I had and drove with it for almost 3 years. It was very good but found the gate a bit close/tight. I had the factory in the Cayman R that I owned. Honestly, between those two, I preferred the factory short shifter.....found it smoother than the AP which I found a tad 'mechanical' in its feel. This is purely personal preference.
