2015 Cayman S
2015 Cayman S
Does this sound about right to any Cayman S owners? A family friend and I went to a dealership to obtain numbers on a base Cayman lease.
He ended up preferring the Cayman S, and we were quoted ~$2600 drive-off with a $1090/month payment. Car MSRP was $75,000, offered at $71,000. This is for a 2015 model year.
Any suggestions or advice? Thank you!

Go online and use any bank loan calculator and plug in the loan and percentage they got". But 71k on a 5 year loan at 3% is about 1200 a month so sounds near right... If you were BUYING the car... For a lease that seems ridiculous...like double the cost. I think I saw somewhere cayman leases were starting around $500 a month or so...

This would be a moderately optioned '15 S with half the down payment.
I'll snoop around a bit and see what other quotes I can get for him.
Yeah. Just got another quote from another dealership: $3,000 down, $995/mo. I guess the prices are hovering around that magic four-digit number.
Glad I got mine 2014 a few months ago - $82k MSRP @ $850/mo with zero down, 30 months with 7,500 miles

FYI, the friend ended up leasing the Cayman S anyway. Got the deal sweetened down to just over $1,000/month, but with $1800 down.
But one correction: $71K does not buy a "moderately" optioned 2015 CS.
Thanks, he's loving it! I've had the pleasure of riding shotgun a couple of times, and it feels like quite a car. Compared to my 991S, it feels lower, more planted, and more nimble. I also love the engine/induction noise.

And point taken about the price. Though I will push back and say that the car was, as stated above, $75,9xx MSRP and had a good number of option boxes ticked. I definitely do understand that $10,000 in options is chump change for our Porsches.
