Cayman GT4 Officially Revealed!
Yes on the LWBS. I've read somewhere it's causing delays. Sounds like you isolated the problem. Sucks because this season is shot. Wanna keep the LWBS on the build sheet but I like your idea..
If you track the car the LWB's are an OK seat. If you want to really get your best lap times get a set of TIGHT fitting Sparco, Recaro, or ? in CLOTH.
WAAAAY better and you dont have to put up with discomfort or back pain on extended trips or club drives. The Standard Sport Buckets are such great seats for everyday driving and it only takes 4 bolts to switch them out for track days. This is how my CaymanR was setup.
I will say that the LWBs are gorgeous but not $5,000 gorgeous to me
And BTW these will save additional pounds over the LWB's.

I always wanted a Cayman but ended up with a PDK 991 for various reasons 2 years ago. Now I am itching really bad to add the GT4 to my stable since I just got rid of another manual car.
If I can secure an allocation for spring delivery 2016 and drive it to scratch my Cayman itch, what do you guys think about resale? I know the GT4 is not limited afaik but I am wondering if it is possible to drive it for nearly 'free' if I decided it is not really for me and have to sell. I am not trying to flip it to make $, just don't want to lose my shirt and then I won't hear the end of it from my wife.
Need some help to convince my better half. Or maybe she is right, I am crazy for thinking I can drive a brand new car short term and not take a huge hit in depreciation. I know I can lease but I don't like carrying debt for 'toys'.
TIA.

There's been much chatter about the LWBS causing delays but now they officially killed the option from my build sheet. I've seen some good ideas on here to go with standard seats and add my own buckets but considering resale I just want the factory option.
Has anyone heard what is going to happen or where the problem is? If it's just a delay then I'll rather wait it out.
