Cayman S in person

Left early today to beat the traffic. I stopped by McKenna to see the Cayman S in person. And my impression, YES, the lines are better in person. It is also bigger. This one is a PCNA reserved car to show only. Price is $10k above MSRP, so $81k. First availability is around February 2006. Enjoy! Also saw these cars at McKenna Turbo & red 944 (goto bottom of page).

funny how dealer doesn't realize for 10k more customer can pick up a 997. i guess they really don't mind making themselves look stupid because there's a sucker out there is gonna buy it for 80k...

Even though I would rather a Cayman S over a Base 997, I sure as hell wouldn't pay the same for it.

Arling, I asked the sale guy the same question and he said if you want to be the first in the block, you pay. There is a waiting list til February. After February, there are asking for MSRP, maybe take delivery in April.

The truth, I still like the 997 better but the rear storage is nice to have. Used 997 here I come.

Just saw my first one today...
the car is better looking than the Boxster or 911. I walked around and around the car for 15 minutes. I heard it running, a great exhaust note when fired up cold. Fantastic shape, especially from the rear. More charisma than I expected. A real hit!
