Have a 2016 GTS with X73 sport suspension and 6 speed. Not sure what you are looking for, info wise. There are some GTS trim items that are not available on the S and there is a very slight bump in HP for the GTS. Otherwise you can configure an S to include everything that is bundled into a GTS. I am extremely pleased with mine and plan on keeping it a long long time. Please post if you are looking for more specific info.

JG, a lot of folks looked at the question but you are the only one who took the time to repsond. I appreciate the feedback. If there are any options, with or without the gts package that you would say are must have, please let me know.
So the x73 is not part of the GTS package but a separate option?
thanks

X73 was a no cost option along with things like the smoker’s package (got an extra 12V outlet in the console). Other options that did not come with the GTS package that I thought were must haves included heated and ventilated seats with the 18 way adaptive sport seats. Porsche Torque Vectoring option got you a limited slip differential which is especially good if you are going to track the car. Then you can choose what you want for the infotainment system - I went with the Bose system with navagation (my preference these days would be Apple Car Play which is available as an aftermarket installation for the car). The 6 speed manual was standard and PDK was available as an option. To get the backup camera on the 2016, you had to order the parking sensors, which I did not want, and I have since retrofitted a backup camera from MaxSpeed Motorsports for about 1/3 of the cost of the factory option.

Other options that you may or may not like include the sport design steering wheel (no cost) vs. the standard wheel with all the buttons. I also deleted alcantara as a no cost option as I selected expresso natural leather interior.

Hope this helps. Please post if any more questions.

Yes, that does help. Porsche offers so many options its nice to have suggestions to work with. Is there an android equivalent to Apple car play?
Dp you know if the 2015 m.y. holds the same options and choices as 2016?
thanks again

Android Auto is the Car Play equivalent, however I have not seen (or been looking for) a retrofit for the Porsche infotainment system. Yeah, I think the 2015 and 2016 options were similar. I ordered my car in June 2015 and it was delivered in November 2015 as a 2016 model.

In my opinion, if you're buying new and want most the GTS options, getting GTS over S is a no brainer. However, when buying used, if you're able to find an S specced with most the GTS features, that might be a better bang for you buck (however from a resale standpoint on both, it may ultimately be a wash).

If you're able to find an S with X73 suspension (which I much prefer over the PASM which is standard on GTS or an option on S same as X73), sport chrono, PTV, and PSE (a must have in my opinion but easily added on later), you're essentially getting a lot of the GTS features (minus the slight extra HP which is negligible) for probably about $10k cheaper for similar cars.

I wouldn't hold yourself to either option when looking, decide what you want and when you find one specced the right way, jump on it! Also, don't be scared to buy a car across the country, given all the options on Porsche's, the one you want very likely isn't going to pop up in your home city.

I have a 13 Boxster S so not technically in the years you are looking for but basically no real difference between it and a 15. The main difference between the spec of my car and the GTS are the cosmetic ones, I have the 14 way seats and I don't have Sports exhaust.

It is a really great car. I have never enjoyed a car in the same way and despite having had it for nearly 5 years and using as my daily driver it always makes me smile. So if you can find a good spec S you will pay a lot less and I don't think your enjoyment will be that different. Certainly from a performance point of view I couldn't tell any difference when I went in a GTS.

As someone else already said though if you have the money and buy the GTS I think it will hold its money as well if not better than the S as it is rarer and will always be one of the most desirable versions of the car.
