Hi, I never have driven one of this, but I spend too much time in the web reading forums about the models. I missed in this car some toys, PASM suspension, PSE exhaust system, Sport Chrono Packtet, the sport steering wheel, sport seats....
For me, those things are necessary, be patient and and choose the right unit for you.
Try to find and S model.
When you want to sell this car this type of things gives more opportunities to have a good sell.

This is a lightly optioned base 981 Cayman. As opposed to what Adreilu says, there is nothing inherently wrong with this car, if it floats your boat. The conventional wisdom is to buy the newest best car you can afford. Only you can determine that. You should definitely have a pre purchase inspection done. Specifically, you should check the door inserts - warping at the top is a common problem. I have not been in the maraket, so I cannot comment on the price. Yes the transmission is a PDK. The mileage seems OK. The 981 is a wonderful platform! I ran the VIN in vinanalytics.com and here is the report:
