Angry Cayman oil leak

Our two day old Cayman has left an oil spot on the floor. Small amount, seems to be driping from in front of right rear wheel. Any hints? RMS? Filter? Drain plug?

Did you have the leak diagnosed by the dealer? i'm curious to see what they say. i'm contemplating buying a Cayman. I hope it turns out to be nothing. Please keep us posted.

DON'T let them wash your car unless you enjoy the look of swirls... just some advice.

I don't think cosmoline would drip. It's just a heavy coating on the engine which would bake on it when engine is hot.

It's NOT cosmoline,.....

definitly oil. I suspect it's the seal at the base of the oil filler tube. It will go into the dealer on Friday. Everyday it seems to drip less and less...yes I checked the oil and it is only down a frac tion of a quart.

I've seen, many times, too much built up cosmoline gets hot and drips.
Looks just like oil....

Just like your turbo, when it was new, they all use a little oil at first.

Im not saying its not leaking oil, but dont be surprised if they say its not.
