PCM 4.0 in 981. Bose Amp problem help needed.
Let me start off I enjoy mods. I am retrofitting a PCM 4.0 into my car. I have run into a snag. I need to replace the Amp which is Bose because PCM 4.0 is most150 vs most25. I can get a used one but was told I have to get the Component protection removed. I was told the dealer would not because it is not a Porsche authorized mod. My question is what are my options? if I buy a new component, will I have the same issue? can I go aftermarket and what would work minimal cost and easy install. I was told Porsche PNN access is required to get code from porsche to remove CP.
