Sooooo here we go. My apologies for being wordy and the pics aren't in the correct order.

Brand new to the Porsche Family. New to me 2013 981S. Shout out to the original owner as it has EVERY option. Who knew there was even electric steering wheel adjustment? I did the VIN thing and the website description said 19's but these are 20's with brand new Pirelli's courtesy of Fresno Porsche. When I went to pick it up I, of course, cycled the roof and got a fault code. Strange that they had it for a week prepping it and clearing recalls and no one ever tried the roof?

So got a loaner and headed home. A week later they delivered the car to my house, I tried the roof, and.....FAULT! Ha! "I tried it before came to drop it off". I'm in the tech industry so I know how the - it was working a minute ago is - so not upset. He said - you keep the car and we'll order parts on our end and let you know when we're ready to fix it.

Service manager called the next day and said - can you bring it in? I took it in and they gave me a brand new 718S with 900 miles as a loaner.

Not the smoothest start to ownership but I'm still excited to be joining the club.

The garage pic - I've tried car covers but with how the car is parked the front right corner is a bxxch to get to when it's parked. I just bought 2 king size blankets and can lay them on from the passenger side. They also fit in the washer. My car covers had to go to the local laundromat in the BIG washer for cleaning. My Porsche banner is on order. My history Aston DB9 to Audi R8 (had to sell to get a car for my daughter going to college) to BMW M3 (burned to the ground) to BMW Z4 to Porsche! All wonderful cars. Funny went from a V12 to V10 to V8 to Straight 6 to flat 6.

Anyone else with cats? On deterrent version 4.7 which is a motion detector sonic device that I place on the roof when parked. When the hop up if flashes and makes noise. Need a second facing to the front.

On order or delivered - Floor mats, frunk mat, CarPlay head unit, white gauge faces, Softronic tune, radiator grills, power tap for radar detector/dash cam, Banner, 1:43 scale model(have them for all my cars), sun visor.

Back to the roof issue for a moment. I've searched the forums and told the service manager that the likely culprit is the microswitches in the B pillar. They seem to think it has to do with the latching mechanism?

I'm looking forward to meeting others at our local PCA C&C and contributing to the forum on occasion.
