Boxster S or Cayman?
In Belgium a Boxster S and Cayman 2.7 are approx 50.000 Eur.
Now I can buy a well-equiped Boxster S (280 hp) or a rather modest Cayman 2.7 (245 hp). My previous car was a 986 Boxster 2.5 (205hp), so I'm a bit reluctant to buy 'another' Boxster. I did testdrive the S and absolutely loved it.
I do less then 10.000 kms/year (non daily driver) and I'm a pretty extreme after market modder (http://www.daggie.be/gfx/cars/projec...t/DSCN6574.jpg)
Opinions?

Daggie, your Boxster was an awesome ride, very well done! If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the Cayman to have a new platform/chassis to experiment and play with... A white cayman to be the new reincarnation of your old boxster would be sweet!

Hmm I doubt unless he is planning on taking it to the Race Track and driving it to the extreme that he would notice any real difference in handling. The Boxster is a superbly setup car and torsionally is very stiff.
I would personally take the Boxster S 987 over the Cayman.
Why?
The Boxster S will hold its value better, as it has already taken a fairly major depreciation hit. The Boxster is a more desirable car than the Base Cayman. As you are not using the car as a daily driver then the practicalitys of a hard roof are not so important. Better to be able to pull the car out on a sunny day drop the top and hear that engine roar.
