Seems like everyday I see a new member from Vancouver.
Tons of owners, plenty of enthusiasts. Maybe it would be nice to get the gang together some afternoon for lunch, photographs, hand-shakes, etc.

What do you guys think?
If there's interest, I'll try thinking of dates/location.

Would definitely be interested. My insurance just expired and I haven't gotten around to re-newing since I only transit to campus. However I'd love to meet up with some people.

 

I would be in on a weekend and weather permitting(that being an issue very soon)
One thing you will see with the Vancouver crowd is that the turn-out always seems to be pretty low...no idea why !
We did a photoshoot over the summer and had three people show from this forum !
I hope it will be a good turn-out !

 

Agreed Stacy, it would be nice to have a higher turnout this time. Weekends are really the only thing working for me at this point too. A Sunday would be the most ideal.

 

weekends would be best. I'll be down for a meet. But with weather getting worse, it will be a tough one to get people out.

 

Doesn't necessarily have to be with cars (although that would definitely be best). Just getting together for some food, go karting, or even something like a Top Gear marathon would be a great way to possibly get some people out.

 

Lets do lunch and a cruise or something. Lunch maybe out in Whiterock(boathouse?) then cruise out to Vancouver for coffee and pics at somewhere like Spanish banks or even heading out to Porteau Cove would be fun.. check out the kite boarders doing their thing

Awesome, let think of a Sunday. Too bad most of this is pending weather.

Lets pick a date way off in the future - maybe mid/late October - so that people can plan ahead and we can PM all of the locals. There are tons of Vancouver owners on this board.

Lunch/cruise sounds great. We can finalize the agenda once we have a date/group.

*I just PMd a few locals that I could think of off the top of my head. Also extended this to the Seattle gang.

 

My schedule is tight, I work a lot M-F and weekends I hang with my two kids (5 + 2). I may be able to sneak out for a meet and drive, keep me posted.

Trick is too make yourself available....even if it is last minute,especially with the weather changing.
You can truly make the meet...if you want too !
Even if it is just for a brief moment.Just would be nice to put faces to names.

LOL,I am at the point right now of renting the go-kart track once a month these days(TBC indoor karting) for work and for friends.

Honestly, for the first meet, I am more than fine with grabbing lunch and meeting everyone. Once the weather is dependable, we can plan a bigger event or a drive.

If you guys want to plan a drive now, that's okay.

Otherwise, we can just meet up for, say, 1-2pm on a given Sunday. If it rains (likely), so what - just meet each other anyway and maybe grab a bite.

I figure that way, we can also get more people to show up (less commitment).

I'll start now and throw out:

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19TH.

If that doesn't work, speak up and we'll rearrange accordingly. Just thought I'd get the ball rolling at first.

Oct. 19 is good for me. As well, I'm fine with a lunch on a wet day if it comes to that. However, I would prefer to stay in Vancouver if it comes down to that instead of going out to say White Rock
