Cayenne Turbo or Cayenne Turbo S
Cayenne Turbo or Cayenne Turbo S
Im kinda new to the Cayenne turbo and needed to know, if anyone could tell me the difference between the regular Cayenne Turbo and the Cayenne Turbo S, obviously I know the regular Turbo comes with 450hp while the Turbo S comes with 520hp.....The regular turbo with software upgrade will give you 50 hp bring you up to 500 hp... Dose the Turbo S come with bigger turbos? Like on the 996 Turbo X50 package... Or did Porsche bump up the boost on the Turbo S? Any info would be great.....
The Turbo S has larger intercoolers from my knowledge that helps it gain a few more hp in comparison to a chipped 450hp based cayenne turbo.
However with Evoms airintake system, bypass pipes, mufflers,dv's and plenum I am sure you will exceed the 530hp territory. I would go for the Turbo S because its a special edition and there are few of them in comparison to the CTT.

The biggest advantage is that you get the 520hp with a factory warranty. Once you chip, intake etc, your warranty is gone. Some don't care about this but I would imagine a hefty repair bill if anything goes wrong. I think the main differences is the boost, intercoolers and brakes. Other than that I believe it also comes with more standard options.

from what I've talked to my local Porsche dealership, they're pretty mod friendly. as long as they do the work. I know they'll do Fabspeed and I'm more than possitive Evoms wouldn't be a problem
I have also checked Mannheim they dont show any Turbo S's....I could go buy a new one but I refuse to loose that much money so I guess Im looking for the best value....So far my research shows black on black is the hottest color combo and sells much faster then any of the other color combinations. I have found a few in the Mannheim pre-sale in the high 30's to low 40's obviously depending on mileage and condition.
Here is what I found:
2004 black on black 38,000 miles late 04 built with 8 months Porsche factory warrenty left with a price of $46,000
or
2005 Black on black 37,000 miles also late 04 build with 9 months Porsche factory warrenty with a price of $52,500
or
2006 Cayenne Turbo S Black on Tan with 29,000 miles with 36 months factory warrenty with a price of $70,000
which looks like a better buy.
Also I found a extended warrenty through Fedalilty Warrenty from my local porsche dealer for $5,000 for 3 years 100,000 miles. A good friend of mine is a service writer at the dealer and he highly recomends them, he says its almost as good as the factory warrenty. So the question is do I go for the 2006 Turbo S and not buy the warrenty or buy the 04 or 05 and purchase the warrenty...

I figured they were inflating the price, thanks for the tip. I just check my email they quoted me $4,828 plus tax which ends up being aprox $5,100, its still $1,000 more then what you paid. Which dealer did you get the warranty from?

Actually Manheim dosnt have any info on the Cayenne Turbo S....But a good deal would be in the low 70's high 60's depending on mileage......Also I did alot of research on the Turbo S since I was considering it, from what I have read on the forums the S is not worth the extra $$$. If you get a great deal on the Turbo S go for it, but all the turbo S has is ECU upgrade from factory, slightly bigger breaks, and bigger inter cooler....Jay.S
i thought it was standard - some idiot is trying to sell a US "Turbo S" on the Canadian Autotrader. the insigna looked weird and then i noticed that there were no rockers! front brakes looked like standard turbo too.
i guess that is why it is still for sale 2 months later!
