I didn't realize the GL550 had third row seating and could fold down like that...thats pretty cool.

Senna, thats a nice setup too...very funtional/spacious and looks nice in all black !

Be tough to part with the CTT performance for sure, but I think we need something a bit larger.

I just picked up a R350 for my wife, much better than any of the previous 6 SUV's she's had.

No range rover , No space for stuff! I will be getting out of the rover and getting a TTS. I dont need space I need speed.

Did i miss someone mention the new BMW X5, it now has 3 rows. I think it's the best looking SUV by a mile.

I think the ML63 provide similar performance with a lot more room inside. The GL obviously gives more cargo space but gives up a bit on the 2nd row which I found very important because with the car seat in place, every inch of legroom counts!

If you or your spouse can deal with the massiveness of full size SUV, you can't go wrong with anyone of the GM's offering or my personal favorite - QX56 is worth a look!

Good Luck!

The problem with the X5 and many other SUV with 3rd row is they compromise the 2nd row leg room. Not only is it annoying your kid is constantly kicking the back of the front seat but it is downright impossible if the driver or the front passenger is rather tall.

Gas mileage pretty much sucks, but then again in comes with the territory either way you look at it. (High H.P. Cayenne TT or Heavy Weight SUV) similar MPG.

We have two kids now, a third on the way. A Dog, Lots of gear, tow a boat and a car trailer.

We have personalized the latest Escalade to suit our tastes and lifestyle and could not be happier. We added a Brembo Big Brake Kit (not shown in these photos) a suede headliner, truck vault, dvd's and a friend of mine gave me a set of the wheels he designs.

I would seriously take a look into the new Hybrid version due out later this year. Supposed to be good for 25-35% better MPG.

Let me know if you would like to know anything further about these rigs.

Good luck in your search.
I like the lockable gun cases under the car seat.

i guess price doesnt make much different with you..you want something nice and comfy and will do the job...
Q7 is nice, but has to be S line...right now special lease is nice too..however the 3rd seats are not that big..if you only take more than 5 once a while ...
Range rover is nice too...and looks classic ..but sounds like alot problem..no one like to take to the dealer all the time..
escalade is big.i mean huge for me at least...
R7 is really a family van...its not a SUV....but safe and can do the job better than Q7 and range rover.
you dont like G55 wagen..its really uniq..i will take it if you like to be special..enjoy what you have and you will be used to it..just like 911 ,cayman ,cayenne..not many people like them when they see the first time...
wish you get a enjoyable ride...

Going the Q7 route isn't going to be much of an improvement over the Cayenne, if ANY at all.

They are both based on the same chassis. I hate the way they drive too, really boring IMO.

My brother has the full size (Suburban sized) GMC. Nice and roomy. My sister in law just got a GMC Acadia. Belive it or not, the Acadia has an amazing amount of space even compared to the Suburban/Yukan thing and has a third row, even with additional space behind the third row. It has very nice captain chairs in the second row and I could even fit in the third row myself. I thought it drove pretty nice too, no CTT but hey, put the money somewhere else. Has a very high woman acceptance factor. See one in the Pearl White, looks better than all of the other combos I saw. Just a thought for you.

R is very nice, HOWEVER, you can't even fit a stoller in the back truck area. It's only good for one golf bag....no joking here.

I was going to get the R for the family, wife as happy cause it would be her car.....until we went to test drive it and noticed...damn, can't even put a stoller back there.

If you think Cayenne's truck space is bad, the R's truck is about 1/2 of the Cayenne truck space.
