Hello guys,

After 5k miles with my CS, problems started. When my car is on 5th gear, if I hit the throttle for a kick down, shift goes down to 2nd gear as it does in usual kickdowns, but with a strange sound from the car and it's like there is a clutch and the car is hitting the clutch and releasing back. When I am in 6th gear of 4th gear, nothing happens. Why do you think is this?

but it only happens when i'm in 5th gear...

 

hmm. and the tranny is not even german, it's made by toyota.
I would think that would hold up well. i would call service to have the check it out.

 

FYI - the tranny is made by AISIN not Toyota. They supply to all the automotive manufactuers but they are most certainly not Toyota.

 

I just left my car at the dealer for an inspection. They gave me a Mercedes R350 loaner . This car sucks...

 

Some early model Cayenne's had Transmission problems which were fixed by ECU flashes. My 04 V6 did. The problem was never resolved and I traded the car for our current Cayenne. Same Model year but no tranny issues. Good luck!

O man I hope my car doesnt have problems my clutch on my 997 had a factory issue and had to be replaced
