Anyone interested in upgrading your non-turbo cayenne wheels to sport technos?

Yes I believe a couple forum members have done so. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

You can ... but I don't think you will get very good winter performance with a tire that wide.

 

how much do you have in mind? I can do local pick up.

 

I have 275/40/20 Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow on my stock 20" Sport Technos and while it may not be the best winter set up, it has not failed me yet. I have been running 20" winter tires since '04 on my X5 4.6is and now the CTTS up to VT for skiing and through NY winters. I have never even come close to having a problem and I have driven through 12+ inches.

 

Do you just swap out the tires every spring/fall? I'm thinking of using a all season tire like the Toyo Proxies or Yoko's on 20" techart's and run them year round, what do you guys think?

 

Yes I swap every Spring/Fall. I have 22" Sport Techno Rep's with Toyo Proxy S/T 295/30/22.
