Easy entry upgrade

I am think about adding the Porsche Easy Entry upgrade to my 08 CTT so I don't need to use my key to start up the engine, the key hole location on the left side of dash board is really hard to get used to, with this upgrade you just need to press a start/stop button instead. is there such a uprgade package available out there ? Thanks.

The Porsche entry still uses the left side key location - you just have a dummy key that stays in there that you turn to start.

I have it and love it. No key has to come out... It's easy use and very convenient

Once you get used to it it is hard to go back. I have it on a couple of cars and when I go to get in one that doesn't have it I have to remember to take the key out after I pull on the handle wondering why it won't unlock.

I just wish it was a start button rather than a dummy key.

I am sure it is possible but no doubt extremely expensive - different door handles being just one of the costs.

Porsche definitely needs to up the game in this dept. Whats the fun in remote start if you don't have a cool 'Start' button to push everytime you get in your car?

Well, If there is no Start/Stop button for the Easy Entry option then it is not worth for the $$$ at all, this is really a shame when MBZ, Jaguar, BMW...... all have that button but Porsche. I will not getting it after all.

Like the other post said, it is possible. We just added keyless-go to a Mercedes last week. You would have to buy a lot of expensive parts though. Usually each door or side has a antenna, new door handles, interior antenna by dash, interior antenna in hatch, the actual module it self, A LOT of programming with the factory scanner, and maybe a new key switch. Not sure how it works on Porsche but I would think that would also be necessary. The big unknown on Porsche is how the cars are wired from the factory, meaning each antenna, module, switch, etc would have to have a factory harness hidden somewhere in those spots. The Mercedes had most of them with a few small ones having to be added.
