04 CTT problems

I have been searching a used Cayenne TT for my wife up here in Canada and I have been able to come up with a lot of 04s and very very little of 05s. I know the 04 have some problems here and there, but is it really that easy to break down? If so, what are the parts or items tend to fail the most? Thanks in advance.

04 have bad coils, drive shaft, mine were replaced under warranty, and also some electrical gremlins. Mine only had the radio stop working which was also replaced under warranty although I believe some people have had other issues. Mine is an 04 S, not a turbo.

If you can, get an 05 and you'll have more piece of mind IMO, good luck

Hey Ken, I've done some research on the CTT before I've got my R. A master tech at TO told me stay away with 04 CTT without warranty, he said out of all the model and years, their service department make most money out of 04 CTT. If you can swing, start from 05.

I was also worried when I purchased my '04 CTT.., but no problems nor headaches so far. Bad news always spreads faster than good.., so I wouldn't worry about it too much my man. Just check out the service history through the VIN number.., most of your answers to the cars condition will be hidden in there. '04's are at some sweet deals $$$ wise.., I couldn't pass it up.
