My Porsche Dealer reffered me to a guy who repairs rims. I spoke too em' today and he comes to your home and repairs your rims in a mobile trailer. Right in the driveway. Need some advice from my 6 speeders...Can this be done correctly??

I have 3.....20" sport technos with some minor rim rash. He is charging $ 100 per rim.

Tnx for your help.

that's how most dealerships repair wheels also - the repair guys come mobile in a van or with a trailer to perform the repairs

do one wheel at a time

if they do the jobs at dealers, they should be decent.

$100 per rim????

I just got 2 of my 20" technos repaired by a local mobile repair specialist for $55 per wheel. Looks like brand new / took 2.5 hours. And they were MAJORLY rashed.

Shop around, this guy is charging too much, especially if your damage is minor.

Hmm- don't tell me LA prices are that much cheaper?? LOL

If the rim damage is minor curbing, the entire rim does not need to be reconditioned - only that small damaged area. > which is why I still feel you may want to shop around or ask the guy to drop his price for three wheels.
