Our New Cayenne

I just picked up this Cayenne for my wife's b-day on Saturday. I ordered it with a trailer hitch for track days. (I need to get a trailer first, but not before I get clear side markers.)

Congrats! Nice collection in your stable. Have you made any comparisons of the Cayenne to the Touareg yet? Do let us know.

Thanks, guys.
As far as the differences b/w the Treg and the Cayenne: I enjoy the sportier look and feel of the Cayenne's interior. I've only put a few miles on it, but the most readily apparent difference is the Cayenne's superior handling. The suspension feels stiffer and sportier (even when not in sport mode.) Our Treg is a V8 and this Cayenne is a V6, but the difference in HP is only about 15. I'm sure I'll have more opinions after driving it for a few weeks.

Congrats. Looks great. Have fun installing those clear lights. That upper screw is not friendly on your knuckles.

Congrats on the new addition to your fleet I'm sure you'll love it. I am kinda the other way around on experience to compare ... we have 2 Cayenne S's and love them and their handling is superior. I only test drove a Touareg last year looking for a graduation gift for the daughter ... but based on just that IMHO there is no comparison, I thought the Touareg was a little loose handling and at least the one I drove felt like the front end kind of dipped in turns with any speed ... just my 2 cents

afterthought ... and just a guess on my part, but I'll bet if it was for "your" B-Day you might have bought the "S"

Heck yeah, I would have bought the S
She's not really going to be pushing the Cayenne too hard on her trips to the grocery store and pre-school.

Your wifey told me she was planning on a few autocrosses with the two baby seats in the back. She already ordered lowering springs too...

My wife is going to join her in her GL...not!

See you at Summit Point...

It looks nice, but i got to admit, Cayenne is a car you got to see in real life. Just like the new x6, the pictures doesn't justify the car. It looks so cool irl but in pictures it seems more or less ugly. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE the new Cayenne.
