CTT Cluster, Plug & Play?

Has anyone swapped the newer CTT cluster into the 1st Gen CTT (955)? Is it an easy install? I want to give mine a face-lift... either that, or considering the stainless steel gauges for my turbo cluster, but kind of afraid of modding it. Any advice/experts out there?

I'm pretty handy (electrically) with my cars, but the cluster somehow scares me... maybe cause it is so computer-like? Anyway, did you have have any display errors and what about the mileage issue?

PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a PDF on how to R&R the Instrument Cluster.

I have a PDF with it ok maybe longer than 20 but its not that bad mileage is a issue because you need to find one with the same mileage or close to match.

Mine had 15K on it and my original cluster had 11 so i just waited till i hit 15 and swapped it

only problem is the comfort menu is a little screwy other than that no problems.

according to that PDF, it states the the car mileage is based on the cluster reading?

is the mileage stored no where else in the cars computer??

i know with like my previous bmw...the dealer would read the info stored into the chip in the key..which included mileage info...i find it hard to believe that a vehicle such as porsche would have no other means to storing mileage info except by the cluster...meaning one could just change out their cluster and effectively lower their vehicle mileage.?

SLP i heard the computer has all the info even if the cluster read say:

26,000

The actual mileage may be 30,000
