OEM Parts Source

Who's got the 411 on the best place to purchase OEM Porsche parts at a discount. I was quoted over $1200 for the Cayenne Turbo Tech. Equip. Sport Exhaust Tips from my local dealer. When I asked for a discount he replied, Sorry the margins are too small on these items. Hmmm. And no thank you, I'm not interested in tips from the other tuners.

Foreign Affairs (board sponsor) has the best price for OEM parts.

Big problem though...

THe Porsche dealer is telling the truth. There is almost NO margin in Porsche parts (newer cars & C).... example, $715 retail CD CHanger, $651 cost.... 20" SD wheels $5150 retail, $4800 cost....

Porsche is very high on their parts... most all dealers make it in th car deals and service...

Just though I would share.
Sam

"20" SD wheels $5150 retail, $4800 cost...."

I was quoted lower that this from a dealer and I doubt a dealer would sell it lower than cost to me.

I think there markup is higher than you think....even though you might be a dealer yourself.

I agree.....Their margins have to be greater than 8%! I have to believe on most items their markup is approx. 15-20%.

DEETZ, I sent two e-mail inquiries to Foreign Affairs with no reply. That's a big enough red flag for me, I'll pass on them.

Drew,

Call Justin (parts manager) at Brandywine Porsche - 610-886-1000. They're also a board sponsor. I buy all my parts from him and I'm sure he'll be within a few bucks of anyone.

Eric

Purchased my Tequipment exhaust tips today and the dealer markup on this item is 30%. By Design gave me a great deal however, you could almost purchase a complete exhaust system for what the dealer is charging!
