Thinking about buying an '05 Cayenne Turbo

I've got a baby now and the CTS-V is just not cutting it for space. No room for anything but the baby. The car is probably going to get me killed anyway.

Anyway, I test drove the GTS and am absolutely hooked on getting a Cayenne now. The GTS handles very well and looks great but the powerplant just doesn't have quite enough for me. The Caddy dynos 480whp/445wtq and traps 119mph in the 1/4. I want utility but still want a little bit of a kick in the pants now and then. I can't really swing a new Turbo so have been looking at '05 models. I figure if it needs more oomph it'll be easier to mod a Turbo. What is a "fair" price for a nice '05 with about 35k miles? I've been seeing around $55k-60k.

Also, are there any major repair issues with this model year? Thanks for your help and I hope to be contributing to this forum soon!

I bought a CPO 05 CTT with 43,000 miles for $52k. I wasn't in the market for a CTT because I was just looking for a CS. I'm glad I bought it over the CS. I know the miles were high, but I figured the CPO should cover any problems I may have down the road.

I don't know how much stuff you carry around. Just to give you an idea, I can't lay my golf clubs completely across the width of the car. They have to go in diagonally. Good luck.

Awesome. I was hoping to hear good things about it. I found a CTT with about 38k miles and a full TechArt kit listed for $67k. Was thinking about offering $60k.

How do you get the car CPO'd if you don't get it from a Porsche dealership?

No CPO unless from authorized Porsche dealer. That would not be my biggest concern. I have heard many times from dealers aftermarket warranty, such as EasyCare, covers more than CPO.

mine was CPO 28K miles with power kit and aero kit.. i love it.. got it for $58K
You can bargain the car then do the transaction at a PCar dealer and pay for the CPO
I do it all the time..
