Talked to my dealer today and they said the official porsche ipod hook up will be available around the end of July for $900. Not sure about any details of how it works

 

But not designed for US cars, bet he forgot that

 

He said they would be able to order them for U.S. delivery soon?

How'd you get TV input? Is that something new that nav-tv is working on? I didn't see that mentioned in the other thread about 09's and PCM3. I'm interested.

 

It is something new we are working on, and it's not yet ready for the market. I hope by the time it will be ready I'll get my sponsorship status here and could advertise this officially on this forum.

FYI, Cars in europe are equipped with a Hybrid (Analog + Digital) TV Tuner.
it really works great in Europe, but unfortunately our smart politicians (with their smart engineering panel) decided on a broadcast system for digital terrestrial television that is not only incompatible with european or japanese standards, it is completely useless for any vehicular operation over 2-3 MPH due to the technical nature of the ATSC system.

We plan to use the TV support on the PCM3 for A/V input and our VehicleDock iPod interface. More to come !
