Nevermind.

So I had an idea but as a passing thought it turned out not to be a good one.

Oh well. I'll bring it up again when the GTS is in my garage

I don't agree... this forum doesn't really get the amount of posts that the others do so having a sub forum wouldn't really do anything but create another place to have to go and look for answers. If you read enough threads here you will see that most posts indicate which model is being discussed.... but if it has to do with engines then it would really be.

Turbo/s
GTS
Cayenne S
cayenne v6

I bet you with the introduction of the GTS there will be a significant rise in participation in this forum

Basically I was looking to get away from the... "what about the V6" question.

A big NO here. Most of the little cayenne gems i find on this forum are not model specific. I would just end up browsing in all three forums...

it makes it easier to search for things related only to the GTS if we separate out ... most of the things i search for give me results that i could care less about (v6, tt)

I'm afraid it would make the forum much like the CLK63 Black Series forum I frequent at MBworld. The numbers are so small, there are days and days that go by without a single post. To make matters worse, a lot of the posts over there are trolls looking to agitate the group......

1 Cayenne forum is enough. 2 or 3 different ones would water down all of the fun.

Even if participation goes up 100% that's still only about 20 posts per day

Not enough difference to warrant a sub-forum.
