Red Seatbelts for 2004 cayenne turbo.

Hey guys, where do you think I can find red seatbelts for my neighbors 2004 Cayenne turbo, I need both front and rear seatbelts. I called the parts department at both local dealerships and they said they only started red seatbelts for cayennes in 2008. Should I take the risk and order red seatbelts for a 2004 that really belong in a 2008? I mean there should be no difference, Or is there an aftermarket company that has red seatbelts?
Thanks,
Vic

I am hesitant with offering advice, but just call the dealer.
They would know in a heartbeat if the new belts are compatable with the old ones.
And if so, just order the new ones and install. My guess is the new belts are the same size and specs as the old ones. Could be wrong, so you do your own research.

Simple enough right?

I already did call several dealers about it and they said "its worth a shot" they didnt know if they were the same or not. Most likely i will have to get parts diagrams for both 2008 and 2004 models and compare the diagrams and the parts in them for the seatbelts. I just dont want to waste money because they are about $800 for the front and rear belts and If they dont fit I cant do anything with them accept sell it here or something like that lol.

I'm not suprised that the dealer isn't sure. I work at one and parts never knows "what will fit in what" unless you happen to get that young energetic mind that tried it or really wants to find out. I would think the belts would bolt in, but it would be the pyrotechnic connectors that I would be more concerned with being the same. Porsche changes connectors all the time. If I have time, I'll check it out at work on Tue. and see what I can find out. I would really like to know because I'm sure I'll get the question at some point.

I did look at the diagrams and all the bolting points look the same, but thank you for reminding me about that. Please pm me on tuesday about those pyrotechnic connectors if you have time.
Much thanks,
Vic,
