K40 Calibre Radar detector and Laser jammer

It is a hidden radar detector and front laser jammer. I have had it on my 997 for two years

Could you elaborate for our benefit? I looked at the article on their site and the reviews seem ok. Thanks

I'd stay away from the K40.

Take a look at the laser interceptor. Totally stealth and it actually works. With regards to radar, just get the V1. Yes, you can see it. But again, it actually works and works well.

I have the v1, not hardwired yet, and am installing the blinder 45.
Those are two worth while products.
Haven't tried or heard a ton about the interceptor, besides it's pretty good as well.
I have just had 100% great history with the blinder 40 on a previous car.

go online to the radar/jammer sites, where they test and review. You'll see.

they're pretty much the gold standard of independent laser/radar testing.

I haven't yet, but I'm sure I will be soon. I've put several on in the past years with out a problem other that remote batteries dying and I had one central unit problem. The support from them is good and my customers seem to like them. I've never had a complaint about the product. I'm not an advocate for K40, and there are a lot of other good ones out there. I've just never had a problem or complaint other than user or installation error. I'm sure an 09 will be the same as any other Cayenne, but if you find out different, let us know

is it illegal to use laser jammers? if so, is it possible for the officer to understand that you have a laser jammer? Do they have the right to search your car for the jammer?

in almost all states it is illegal to use active laser jammers. Passive jammers aren't really effective, and some are legal to use.
I would check your state laws for clarification on what is and isn't legal per your area.
Most cops don't have a clue what they are looking for and most won't look for a device on your car that could have caused the JTG reading.
But yes they do have the right to search your car. sticky situation but yes they do in short.

I would never incriminate yourself and always call your personal lawyer from your cell if it is going to go as far as a search.

I have been given advise before from my lawyer that has proven to be very helpful in handling situations like that.....

But you've gotta get your own, he's mine.

With all that said, I am either installing the Blinder 45 or the interceptor on my GTS. We'll see.

Good luck.

From radarbuster.com:

Laser Jammers and Radar Jammers are illegal in the states of Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC.

They also have a break down of state laws regarding radar and laser for all of the states. Sucks to be in those 8 states listed above. If you're in the other 42, you're crazy not to have a quality laser jammer installed.
